Well, if there ever was a time to do it, now would be it. There are hints now that Sony might include a PS VR title in the PlayStation Plus library for November 2016.
The latest lineup for this service is due to be announced soon, any day now, and the company has indicated that a PlayStation VR game could be part of the monthly free game line up for this month. We probably will get a confirmation on this tomorrow.
You may recall the PlayStation VR FAQ that Sony put up prior to the launch of the virtual reality headset, where it said that it was looking into offering PS VR games on the PlayStation Plus.
This is what it read:
Q: Do you have plans to offer PS VR games on PlayStation Plus?
A: We have nothing to share at this point in time, but we are looking into it.
Back then the company had nothing to share, because that arrived before the October PlayStation Plus titles were announced. That list subsequently did not include a PS VR title — which was fine, considering the headset was not out yet.
But now with the PlayStation VR firmly out in shops and homes, there is nothing stopping Sony from adding a PS VR game into the mix with the six games that are given away for free.
For the time being, the October PlayStation Plus selection continues to be available for users until October 31, 2016, and the first Tuesday of each month is when Sony usually changes its selection for users of the service.
