KITCHEN demo? Yeah, we’ll take it. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will be one of the first AAA titles to be completely playable in VR from start to finish, and hype around its launch is building up.
Of course, another thing that launched recently, is the PlayStation VR headset for the PS4.
And with it comes another launch — the frightening VR demo for Resident Evil 7 that Capcom has released for gamers in North America and Europe. It is included on the demo disc in North America, while Europe can grab it as a free download from the store.
This shot demo joins the long list of launch titles that are now available for the PlayStation VR headset.
It is a scary virtual reality experience that takes place in the same dirty kitchen that was featured in the PlayStation 4 demo for the Resident Evil 7.
Here is a video to go with this:
Survivor horror is the focus of this game, instead of pure action, which in many ways harkens to the Resident Evil games of old. Meaning players will have to deal with limited inventory space, smart herb consumption and tense encounter with scary creatures that are there to hurt them.
Capcom is trying to lead the market with this game, and this demo certainly provides a very good glimpse into whether this will happen or not.
So far so good, don’t you think?
