Development on Resident Evil 7, the latest entry of the long running survival horror series by Capcom, is coming along mighty fine, with the company saying that work on the game in 90% complete.
Additionally, like all major titles launching on the PlayStation 4, the game will take advantage of the additional power of the PlayStation 4 Pro offer better graphics and more.
Capcom has not yet shown the PS4 Pro enhancements for Resident Evil 7 publicly, but did give a demo to the attendees of the latest Resident Evil Ambassador Meeting in the form of a first look at how the game will run on the soon to be released console.
According to the report published on the second Resident Evil Ambassador Meeting that was held last week in the Tokyo Capcom office, the publisher did show Resident Evil 7 running on PlayStation 4 Pro.
And what’s interesting is that this version of the game supports highly detailed textures — furniture and walls look especially nice on this one. Attendees, it is said were quite stunned by the quality of the PlayStation 4 Pro version, saying it was a definite upgrade over the regular PlayStation 4 version.
To cap off the good news, it was also confirmed during the meeting that development on this high-profile PS VR enabled game is 90% done.
Producer Kawada Masachika is feeling very confident about the current state of the game, which can only be great news for the fans of the franchise and gamers looking forward to play this newest Resident Evil title.
Resident Evil 7 is set to release worldwide on January 24, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
It will be fully playable on the PlayStation VR at launch, and will also feature 4K and HDR support on the PlayStation 4 Pro.
